1. Information We Collect
Information you provide: When you create a TypingBlast account, we collect your name or display name, and email address via Google OAuth. We do not collect your Google password.
Usage data: We automatically collect typing test results (WPM, accuracy, duration), XP earned, achievement data, and session metadata such as the date and time of tests.
Guest users: If you use TypingBlast without creating an account, we do not collect any personally identifiable information. Anonymous test results are not linked to any individual.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain your TypingBlast account and profile
- To display your scores on public leaderboards (display name and score only)
- To calculate and award XP, achievements, and streaks
- To improve the Service based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns
- To communicate with you about your account if necessary
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling or targeted marketing.
3. Data Storage and Security
TypingBlast uses Supabase for data storage and authentication. Supabase is a GDPR-compliant platform with SOC 2 Type II certification. Your data is stored on servers located in the European Union or the United States, depending on your region.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption at rest and in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
TypingBlast uses browser localStorage to save your theme preference (light or dark mode) and anonymous session data. We use authentication cookies managed by Supabase to keep you signed in.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels. TypingBlast products are ad-free and we do not use your data to serve targeted advertisements.
5. Third-Party Services

6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you

- Portability: Request your typing history in a machine-readable format
- Objection: Object to processing of your personal data

7. Children's Privacy
TypingBlast is designed to be safe for users of all ages, including children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. The Kids Typing mode on TypingBlast does not require account creation. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on TypingBlast or by email if you have an account. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
